How I aim to help?
Build confidence
Tutorials are scaffolded, with the aim to remove scaffolds gradually as the student grows in confidence and develops into an independent learner.
Break it down
I aim to break down challenging concepts into understandable terminology, using relatable analogies so chemistry doesn't have to be like rocket science.
Exam technique
Knowing chemistry and applying it to exam questions are two very different skills, we practice these questions and getting familiar with mark schemes is key to getting those top grades.
Increase awareness
It can't be fixed, if you don't know what's not working. We work to identify areas for improvement making small changes which see big results.
Accountability
We make chemistry targets to be completed between tutorials and I hold the student accountable, so they stay on track toward their goals.
Book an introductory Teams lesson with a purpose to:
-
Evaluate and understand the student's chemistry needs.
-
Help them set goals for chemistry.
-
Establish if I'm the right tutor for them.
-
Introduce my tutoring approach.
Schedule regular tutorials which maintain consistency and help your teenager grow in chemistry
